Trauma Therapy in Austin & Across Texas Online
Private practice trauma therapist specializing in religious trauma, complex PTSD (CPTSD), people pleasing, and neurodivergent-affirming therapy.
Healing from trauma or navigating complex emotions doesn’t always look dramatic.
Sometimes it shows up as feeling “stuck” inside yourself, struggling to trust your own reactions, being hyper-aware of how others perceive you, or carrying tension you can’t shake. If that feels familiar, therapy focused on nervous system regulation and trauma-informed care can help you feel more grounded, safe, and whole.
At my practice, I specialize in supporting people whose inner worlds feel chaotic or fragmented—helping you connect with the parts of yourself that have always been there, waiting to be seen, heard, and understood.
Counseling
-

Individual Counseling
Individual therapy provides a safe, supportive space to process past experiences, connect with your emotions, strengthen coping skills, and move toward a more grounded, resilient life.
-

Couples Counseling
In trauma-informed couples counseling, I blend Gottman Method principles with Internal Family Systems (IFS) to support couples where one or both partners have experienced trauma—helping you understand each other, heal past wounds, and strengthen your connection.
Specialties
-

Religious Trauma and Spiritual Abuse Recovery
Religious trauma can affect identity, relationships, emotional regulation, and one’s sense of safety in the world. Experiences such as spiritual abuse, high-control religious environments, faith deconstruction, or chronic shame messaging can have lasting psychological impact. Therapy offers space to process these experiences, rebuild internal trust, and develop a sense of self that is not defined by fear or coercion.
-

Complex PTSD and Developmental Trauma
Complex PTSD (CPTSD) often develops in response to prolonged or relational trauma. Common experiences include emotional dysregulation, dissociation, attachment disruptions, negative self-beliefs, and chronic hypervigilance. Treatment focuses on stabilization, nervous system regulation, processing traumatic memory, and building secure internal and relational patterns.
-

Neurodivergent-Affirming Trauma Therapy
Many neurodivergent adults, including those who are autistic, ADHD, or otherwise neurodivergent, have experienced misunderstanding, masking fatigue, or chronic invalidation. Trauma therapy must account for sensory processing differences, communication styles, and executive functioning needs. My approach is affirming rather than pathologizing, integrating trauma work with accommodations that support authenticity and sustainable regulation.
Therapy can help you:
Quiet the constant mental chatter and what-ifs
Feel more present and grounded in your day-to-day life
Understand the root causes of your anxiety (not just manage symptoms)
Let go of unrealistic expectations and create space for rest
Build new patterns that feel calmer, kinder, and more sustainable
My approach to therapy
I specialize in supporting people whose inner worlds feel chaotic, fragmented, or shaped by past trauma. I blend evidence-based tools (like DBT, ACT, grounding skills) with relational and trauma-focused approaches (EMDR, IFS, IPNB) to help you understand why these patterns exist and how to work with them.
Together, we’ll create a space that feels safe, supportive, and steady—where you don’t have to perform, fix, or hide parts of yourself.
I offer in-person therapy in Austin as well as online sessions for clients throughout Texas, helping you build resilience, connection, and a sense of safety in your life.
