Hi, I’m Jordan.
(she/her)
Starting therapy can feel like a leap. You’re considering opening up to someone you don’t yet know about experiences that may feel tender, heavy, or deeply personal.
Vulnerability can feel risky—especially if you’ve been hurt before. And still, in a safe and supportive relationship, allowing yourself to be seen can become a powerful and healing experience.
The relationship we build matters deeply—so let me tell you a little about who I am and how I approach this work.
I’m a licensed therapist in Austin, Texas, and I help people get unstuck from the past.
My work is guided by curiosity, compassion, and the belief that growth comes from connection—to ourselves and to others. My style is collaborative and invested; I’m not here to analyze you from a distance, but to walk alongside you as you discover what healing looks like in your life.
My Background, Training, and Therapy Style
-
I earned my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from the Seminary of the Southwest.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and offer both in-person and online therapy for adults across the state.
-
I have worked in different types of clinical settings: community mental health, group agencies, and higher levels of care including IOP and PHP programs.
I am EMDR certified and trained in Internal Family Systems (Level 1).
I have pursued additional specialized training in trauma work related to neurodivergence, complex trauma, dissociation, and attachment.
Before my counseling career, I worked within a religious organization and then attended a religiously affiliated graduate program. I understand the language and culture of faith-based spaces; however, I do not use religion as a clinical framework for healing.
-
My approach is integrative and personalized. I draw from:
EMDR & IFS – to process trauma and understand the parts of ourselves that developed to protect us, especially in response to chronic stress or unsafe environments
Mindfulness & self-compassion – to regulate emotions, manage stress, and cultivate inner safety for nervous systems shaped by trauma
Coping skills (DBT, ACT, grounding) – to build practical tools for managing difficult emotions and navigating challenging situations, supporting resilience in the context of past experiences where safety was inconsistent
A few things about me:
I’m originally from Austin. After spending the early years of my adult life elsewhere, I’ve been back for the past eight years, enjoying the city in a new way and noticing how we’ve both changed.
I began my work as a therapist noticing that many people wanted to change but felt something inside was holding them back. This led me to train in approaches that help people connect with what was never truly missing inside, but simply needed support to surface.
I am a life-long learner (nerd), passionate about exploring new ways for people to adapt, heal, and thrive.
I am a partner, first-time dog owner, and I think my clients would be surprised to find out how much reality tv I watch.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before you reach out.
If you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or just off, that’s reason enough.
If you’re searching for a Texas therapist, I offer a calm, supportive space to sort through the overwhelm and reconnect with yourself.
Let’s talk and see if therapy might be a good next step.
